Peter is the Senior Advisor & Climate Lead for the B Team. In October 2014, Peter launched The Time4Good Group and is proud to count the B Team as one of its first partners.
Peter has just finished serving as Launch Director then COO of the Carbon War Room (recently awarded NGO of the Year at the Business Green Leadership Awards). At CWR, Peter led projects delivering business solutions to climate change across transport, buildings, and (island) energy systems.
Peter has over 15 years of strategy, marketing and general management experience from Virgin Group; more recently serving as CEO of Virgin Mobile South Africa and VP Marketing of Virgin Mobile USA. After graduating from Oxford University in Philosophy, Politics & Economics, Peter started his career with McKinsey & Co. (in London, India and South Africa).
In parallel to working with the B Team, Peter serves as an ongoing advisor to the World Bank, UK Department of Energy & Climate Change and fast-growth companies, and is a member of the board of trustees at Earthplace in his home town of Westport, CT.
Ann is the Managing Director, Triple Bottom Line Investing, and Chair, Energy Sector, at Maroon Capital Group. Ann serves as the co-chair of the New York State Energy Prize Competition. Drawing on the insights and experience honed during her tenure at CWR, Ann continues to build on the mission of CWR at Maroon Capital, a boutique investment bank active in clean energy, industrial & transportation energy efficiency, and triple bottom line investing.
Ann brings 20 years of experience that includes both philanthropic and private fundraising, investment in clean energy, environmental policy and brownfield project development. Ann joined Carbon War Room as the Director of Development post-launch. She envisioned, created and implemented the fundraising development plan for CWR. Responsibilities included funding active and new operations as well as advising the Founders Circle, Board and CEO on implementing catalytic philanthropy.
Prior to her position at the CWR, Ann was managing director of the Bayberry Green Fund and a Director, AIG Environmental, working closely with the Real Estate and Renewable Energy Groups. Ann advised NYS on the Brownfields law creating during her tenure at the Regional Plan Association and co-founded Green Cycle Housing. She advised Vice President Al Gore, and served in both the White House and the Department of Defense.
She is a board member of the New York State League of Conservation Voters, Harlan Urban Solutions (Newark, NJ), and Southern Cross Schools (Botswana) and helped develop the Echoing Green Climate Fellowship.
Maya Doolub brings a wealth of project management experience to Carbon War Room, having delivered on implementation of key priorities across the UK private and public sector to enhance the reputation and wellbeing of organizations by supporting their development and communications. Maya’s core work has been supporting the National Health Service to deliver against key agendas and objectives, and this has included the development of health models and their essential communication.
Maya has worked with nonprofit organizations during times of considerable change, and gaining the ability to manage and communicate that change effectively. Recent projects include the redesign of healthcare pathways and services within primary care, as well as delivering against key public health agendas to improve the health and wellbeing of local and national populations. Globally, Maya has worked with the World Health Organization to develop mental health models in primary care that provide both accessibility and acceptability to communities.
Having started her career in media, Maya enjoys using her communication skills to manage essential project engagement. Maya also has experience with community consultation, and managing a wide range of stakeholder engagement projects. Her broad experience provides a sound understanding of the dynamics between stakeholders and organizations, allowing her to recognize the potential of such relationships and maximize the opportunities that lie therein.
Joshua Kagan is the Director of Business Development and Sales for Clean Fund. Prior to joining Clean Fund, he ran the Carbon War Room’s global energy efficiency division. His team was focused on catalyzing private investment in scalable and replicable efficiency projects. Prior to the War Room, he was a Senior Analyst with the clean tech investment firm Atlas Capital Investments LLC and a Fellow with the Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development where he focused on analyzing efficiency, advanced transportation, and distributed energy companies. He has consulted for Gerson Lehrman Group as well as Greentech Media and has lectured on alternative energy economics at UC Berkeley. He was the sole author of "Third and Fourth-Generation Biofuels: Technologies, Markets, and Economics Through 2015" (Greentech Media) and lead author on "Raising the Roof: How to Create Climate Wealth Through Efficient Buildings" (Greentech Media) and "The Financial and Sustainability Performance of Global REITs" (Forthcoming). Joshua holds a master's degree from the London School of Economics and bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.
